Your new CSC Motorcycle has been delivered. Now we need to unpack your new motorcycle and get it ready to ride!
The process to unpack your new CSC motorcycle is possible alone – just take your time. But a little help will make the unpacking process much easier.
Only simple tools are needed to unpack the new motorcycle:
A wire side cutter,
Box cutter knife,
And a hammer.
Please use caution as you unpack your new motorcycle to prevent possible injury to yourself or damage to the new motorcycle. Here is a video that illustrates the steps involved in unpacking your new CSC motorcycle. Watch the video and follow the steps outlined below:
The steps to unpack your new CSC Motorcycle:
Step1: Cut the center binding strap and open the top of the carton.
Step 2: Find the glue seam corner and peel the box off the pallet.
Step 3: Inspect your motorcycle. If there is any damage, take photos and email them to CSC.
Step 4: Using the side cutter and box cutter, remove the remaining packing materials. Also remove any parts or accessories that were shipped inside the carton.
Step 4: Using the hammer, carefully remove the three wooden cross beams on top and the six side beams.
Step 5: Find the keys to the motorcycle zip tied to the handlebars.
Step 6: Your motorcycle is held down with ratcheting tiedown straps. DO NOT cut these straps!
First, unknot the four tiedown straps but do not release the ratchets just yet.
Use caution when releasing the tiedown ratchets. Expect a pop from spring tension when releasing the compressed suspension. Evenly loosen the left side tiedown ratchets, first the rear left, and then the front left.
With the left side loose, the motorcycle should have enough angle to lower the side stand. Place a thin piece of scrap wood under the side stand for support.
Now evenly loosen the right side tiedown ratchets, first the rear right, and then the front right.
With the motorcycle balancing on the side stand, completely remove the tiedowns.
Step 7: Standing on the left side of the motorcycle, steady the cycle by the handlebars. Retract the side stand and carefully roll it off the pallet. Use the front brake to control the rolling motorcycle.
Step 8: Some protruding parts like mirrors, windshield, and luggage (if included) may have been removed to fit your motorcycle in the shipping crate. Locate these parts and complete the minor assembly.
Your motorcycle was shipped with a small amount of gas in the tank. All the necessary fluids (oil and coolant) have been checked. (With the exception of ELECTRIC motorcycles!) The battery has been fully charged so that the motorcycle is ready to start.
Note that the SG250 and TT250 have manual fuel petcocks and carburetors. There is a specific procedure for starting these models – and instructions were included in your paperwork file that you received by mail. (These instructions are also found in your Owner’s Manual on the CSC Motorcycles website and in this helpful video - CLICK HERE.)
