Larger, Stronger Tires for the U600 "Overlander" UTV

I drive the CFMoto Uforce600. This is a "utility" UTV. But I didn't buy this UTV for hauling firewood or feed sacks. I also didn't buy this UTV for hardcore rock crawling or desert racing!

My primary use is riding the rural farm roads and the roads in the surrounding county, state, and national forests. There are also thousands of miles of designated OHV trails throughout Wisconsin and the neighboring states. Most of these trails are graded gravel or sand.

The Uforce600 has great stock tires" 26" radial tires that are superior to the stock tires supplied on other brands! But these stock tires are a compromise - they are round with a tread better suited for the "average" driver who needs traction in mud and farm fields.

In my case, I wanted a blockier tread - more like a Jeep would use. My choice was the Tusk Terrabite from Rocky Mountain ATVMC. I selected the 27" x 9" x 12" size that matched the stock wheels on the U600 (The Uforce600 ALSO is supplied with great aluminum rims! Not needing to buy new rims saved me over $600.00!)

The Tusk tires are 1-inch larger diameter tire than the stock tires on the Uforce600 - but there is plenty of room on most UTVs for larger tires. In addition, the more "square" profile Terrabite is a stiffer, 8-ply tire that provides better steering on both gravel and paved roads at speed.

A side benefit is that the slightly larger tires almost perfectly corrected the speedometer error that is common to most UTVs and motorcycles.

I ordered FOUR new tires - so that I would have the SAME size tire on the four corners of the UTV - again, just like your typical 4x4.

This has TWO benefits:

First, I can now ROTATE my tires, getting longer use per set.

Second, I also ordered a matching FIFTH tire and wheel - so now I have a SPARE TIRE that fits any wheel.

A spare tire is cheap insurance on the long, overlanding trips that I enjoy. I routinely cover over 100 miles per day, often far out of cell phone coverage. With a spare tire, I can replace a flat tire in a few minutes, then worry about plugging the hole or installing an inner tube later.

I am 100% satisfied with the added ground clearance and driving characteristics of the Tusk tires.

Unfortunately, my long relationship with RMATV/MC was damaged by the terrible service I received when they screwed up my order! As noted in the video I received the spare tire with the wrong wheel mounted - and then the correct wheel unmounted. I still don't know if I am BANNED from ordering again?
